Psyllium Husk can be used in a variety of ways to increase the amount of dietary fibre in your diet. Fibre is important to assist with absorbing fats and cholesterol for the digestive system.
As a natural fibre drink, use 1-2 teaspoons mix with a full glass (150-200ml) of water or juice. Drink immediately or leave for a few minutes to form a thicker drink/gel which can be added to yoghurt, eaten as a gel or mix with milk “smoothie” drink. An additional glass of water or juice may be helpful in digestion.
As a cooking ingredient, add a heaped teaspoon to bread, dough bases to increase fibre in your cooking.
