3 Healthy Ways to Use Apple Cider Vinegar

Apple Cider Vinegar or ACV for short, is vinegar made from apple. Unpasteurized and unfiltered apple cider vinegar will usually contain cobweb-like strands known as the “mother of vinegar”. These cloudy substances result from the natural bacteria fermentation process and many health food advocates regard “the mother” as the most nutritious part of ACV.

A video from The Dr. Oz Show, demonstrates 3 healthy (and interesting) ways of how to use apple cider vinegar.

Healthy Way 1 – As a dandruff spray and clarify your scalp and hair.

Method:
Mix 1/4 cup water and 1/4 cup ACV in a spray bottle. After shampooing, spray onto hair and rinse after 15mins. Apply 2 times per week.

Healthy Way 2 – As a sore throat elixir.

Method:
Mix 1 tsp of ACV, 1 tsp of cayenne pepper and 3 tbsp of clover honey with warm water and drink up.

Healthy Way 3 – As foot deodoriser wipes.

Method:
Place unscented baby wipes into a zip-loc bag, pour 1 cup of ACV into the bag and chill in refrigerator overnight. Wipe feet with the ACV soaked wipes as needed.
